Area 51 is a top secret military facility on the Nellis Bombing Range in Nevada at Groom Dry Lake.  Only recently the government has acknowledged the existance of the facility despite the fact that pictures of this facility was available far before the government has acknowledged it's existance.  It is an area where the SR-71, the U-2, and the F-117 was developed.
